As all of you have probably heard, Ian and I are no longer skating together. I wanted to write this blog to give everyone a little more information on why we decided to end our partnership.
It was a very hard decision to make – Ian and I have been together for 6 years, we’ve had great seasons, and we gained a lot of amazing fans. After Nationals we sat down and discussed this past year and realized it was very inconsistent for us. That led to us discussing why, and how we would make this year a better one. We came to the conclusion that we wanted different things. While we tried to make it work due to our history, mutually we realized splitting up was the best thing for us to do.
I am staying in DE under Karen Ludington, Sasha Kirsanov, and Christie Moxley. I am hoping to find a new partner this season, but right now I’m currently taking a few international dance tests. I wish Ian the best of luck with his future, and hope he finds the happiness he deserves. I believe that this is the best decision for us, and this is the start of a new chapter in our lives.
I wanted to thank everyone who has supported us through our partnership! Without all of you we wouldn’t have been half the team we were. I’d also like to thank US Figure Skating for sending us to places I never thought I’d go, and giving us the opportunity to represent the USA. They are memories I’ll never forget and always treasure. Also, a big thanks to Ice-Dance.com for letting me blog throughout the years. It’s truly been a great experience. I hope I’m able to blog again soon!
Until next time,
Bella
